Angelina Gostilia is the daughter to Count Gostilia and wife to Mendoza in the events of The Carved Seal of Flames within the Anime Series. She and her child was tragically killed by Mendoza to keep his cursed seal a secret.

Very little is known about Angelina. She briefly appeared before Mendoza as a stunning beauty, poised and ready to marry him.
History[]
Early Days & Marrying Mendoza[]
As the daughter of Count Gostilia, she's a highborn noblewoman. When King Fernando San Valiante wanted to retain Mendoza for his exceptional skills, the king managed to convince Angelina to marry Mendoza as a means to keep him from leaving. Upon introductions, Mendoza was captured by Angelina's beauty and married her. She would later become pregnant with their child; it also meant the end of her life.
Cursed Child & Death[]
One rainy day, Angelina would go into labor and Mendoza rushed to see his wife and newborn (name and gender unknown). The midwife screamed in horror and didn't want Mendoza to see, but he pushed through to see his child. To his shock, Mendoza realized the gravity of his cursed seal when his child was born with the same red scars. Angelina was in tears for her child born in such a state and reached out to her husband, but Mendoza offered no comfort. Enraged and ashamed by the cursed seal, Mendoza drew his sword and killed Angelina and his newborn; he would dump their bodies off the sea side cliffs outside the kingdom walls. What should've been a joyous day ended in deep tragedy and began Mendoza's quest for vengeance.
On the same day of his child's birth, Mendoza slayed his family and swore revenge on the Makai Order. It's unclear what happened afterwards, but Angelina's death was kept a secret and nobody investigated into the matter. By the time the main events of The Carved Seal of Flames happened, Angelina has passed more than a decade and Mendoza never once thought of her as he focused a path of vengeance, power, and immortality.
Relationships[]
- Mendoza - Husband and killer. Angelina married Mendoza under King Fernando San Valiante's recommendation, not once realizing he's a narcissistic psychopath. Mendoza kept his past a secret and when she gave birth to their child, only a portion of the truth was revealed and her own husband killed her and their child for it. Mendoza disposed her body, throwing both wife and infant into the sea cliffs.
