Beginning (道, Biginingu) is the twenty-fifth episode of GARO: The One Who Shines in the Darkness. This episode is a flashback episode, detailing Priest Burai's life when Ryuga and Rian were still children.
Synopsis[]
After Hakuna sacrifices herself to seal Zedom, Priest Burai is left with the burden of raising two children, eventually wanting to attempt suicide.
Summary[]
Burai tells Rian that her father has died. He gives Rian her father broach and tells her that he will look after her.
While Rian is reading, Burai remembers when everyone died. He slams on the desk, scaring Rian as Ouma enters the room. Burai asks Ouma to take Rian to Kantai and to take Ryūga to train.
Ouma takes Rian to Kantai as Burai looks in on Ryūga once more. Burai tries to commit suicide, but is stopped by Ouma.
Ouma and Burai search for Rian who has disappeared. They find her staring at Ryūga. Burai and Ouma reminisce as Rian sings. Burai agrees to train Rian as opposed to her going to Kantai.
Ten years later, Rian agrees to go with Burai to Volcity.
