Fruit (果実, Kajitsu) is the twelfth episode of GARO: Makai Flash Knight.
Synopsis[]
In the past, Rei had saved a young girl from being run over by a car, and quickly became friends with her. Now, he has crossed paths with her again in the present day when the girl's mother was killed and possessed by a Horror.
Summary[]
Toshiko Hoshikawa saves Misao Hoshikawa from a car that was going to run her over. Rei Suzumura arrives at the crash site, where both Toshiko and the criver are missing. Silva confirms that this is the site where the Gate was opened.
Rei stops by Patisserie Miyahara, which is closed a someone is watching him from inside. He subsequently find Misao at her school and takes her on an outing. Rei asks how her mother is doing, unaware that she was the victim of the car crash. Rei notices the scratch on Misao's arm and asks her what is in the bag, leading to him asking if Misao will follow in Toshikos footsteps. Rei tells Misao to follow her own dreams. As Misao leaves, Rei affirms that he knows who he is to Silva.
When Misao arrives home, she is chastised by her mother about if she wants to be a baker. Toshiko suddenly calms down and tells Misao that they have to go and tells Misao to say goodbye to Rei. Rei arrives at the apartment and realizes that Toshiko and Misao are onto him. He follows them
When Rei finds Misao, they reminisce about when they first met. Misao thanks him and enters the amusement park. Misao tries to protect Toshiko, who is possessed by Yashual. Rei knocks out Misao as he does battle with Toshiko.
Misao wakes up after Zero defeats Yashaul. Rei hands her Toshikos necklace and consoles her. Misao thanks Rei before saying that she will never forgive him. As Rei walks away, he tells Silva that he protected Misaos future smiles.
