Description & Characteristics

Giryūs are mechanical creatures which similar to Gōryū in many ways, notably being sentient mechanical constructs crafted through alchemy out of sturdy materials and deployed as enhanced combat equipment in fighting Horrors. The most noticeable differences are their construction don't seem to involve the use of recycled dark energies of Horrors and greater array of functions in addition of combat such as healing, surveillance, and retrieving object of interest.

Variations

Ruru

Ruru is a fish-like Giryū that can infuse its very energy to heal its user's wounds and has a pair of legs to move on land. The worse the wound, the greater amount of energy it spent. Edel has at least one Ruru which eventually sacrificed itself to revive him after he was nearly killed by Kagome's kamikaze attack.

Gen

Gen resembled eastern dragon a bit, but with long head akin to Tekki. Even individually, they can fight toe-on-toe with average Makai Priest, using teeth and thin yet flexible and sturdy tail to fight with.

Karasu

True to English translation of its name (Crow), Karasu is themed after crow and has torso resembled humanoid head with functional mouth. Although not as formidable as Gen as their primary function being surveillance and scouting for target of interest, they must not to be underestimated due to danger they pose in numbers.

Shou

An iron maiden-like Giryū with a pair of small wings, demonic face with prehensile tongue, and four legs that ends with circular saw-like wheel that can shred things and spin around as means of locomotion akin to helicopter. Was deployed to kidnap Alice only to be destroyed by Zero.

Gan

A mechanical horned lion/dragon hybrid with small wings and clawed legs each holding a spherical jet propulsion to fly and hover around. Not only it is about the size of a Madō Steed, but also Dragon Knights' equivalent to one and thus share similar combat parameters.
