History[]

Abilities[]

  • Makai Knight Training: Having undergone brutal Makai Knight training at the Monastery, Hagiri was a very powerful Dark Knight standing far above the participants in his death game in both skill and strength.

Equipment[]

  • Veil Armor: Hagiri's Dark Metal-forged Makai Armor.
    • Veil Sword: Once a silvery Makai Blade he trained with and partook in the original trial to inherit Garo with, Azami infused it with Dark Metal from Garo after the armor rejected him, and he angrily killed his former superiors with it, destroying the cliff they were on and mountain behind them in the process. He later retrieved this now black sword, reforged into Veil Armor's very weapon and used it to destroy Shuka before she could reveal the full truth about Garo, torment Sena Kuon to turn him to darkness, and murders Ryōsuke Amō with to further force Kuon into despair while proclaiming that Kuon can do nothing without any power. After Veil's completion, it attains a powered form resembling a jagged longsword which can split into energized whip-sword for combat.
  • VR Glasses: Disguised as glasses-like virtual reality headset, VR Glasses are sort of Makai Teleporter devised not only to send its chosen wearer to Game Field, but also slightly enhanced their capabilities. Once arrived to Game Field, the wearer must win a round in order to get back to Human Realm; dying while still in Game Field (be it from devoured by horrors or killed by a rival player) or attempting to exit prematurely will kill the wearer - their lifeless body will return to real world intact for a moment or two before disintegrated into ashes. Hagiri invented this with Monastery's assets in his possession before distributing them to 100 men to participate in the death game with which they harvest the players' inner darkness to be processed into Dark Metal within Garo armor.

Trivia[]

  • Although Hagiri's story is basically the retelling of Barago's (both resorted to claim alternatives to Garo Armor after failed to claim it), he is much more sympathetic as he was technically a victim to a controversial system of Makai Order, the same system he ultimately ruined.
