Igusu (イグス, Igusu) is a Makai Knight in Heir to Steel Armor within the Ryūga-verse. He is an untitled steel knight, old friend to Godou Shirahane, and leader of the Swordsmen of Agora. The knight was unfortunately killed in action by Gaera.

Personality

While dedicated and able to work alongside others pretty well such as his friend Godou, Igusu is an outspoken and no-nonsense man who can come off as judgmental and abrasive at worst, which detrimental in his part of helping Souma dealing emotional issues from his father's disappearance. So much that he begins to perceive the young title-less Knight to be too much of a lost cause hence deliberately (and unwisely) provoke Souma to point his Hagane Sword at his face by revealing his theory of Godou's disappearance being related to an incident at Gate of Destruction three years back and steadfastly justifies his action upon being confronted by Mutsugi despite lacking concrete evidence. However, over time, he realized he had been too harsh to judge Souma and came to care deeply for the young title-less Makai Knight after Ryūga's approach in helping him overcoming his issues far more successful than either him or Mutsugi and wisely providing him the chance to redeem himself. Though whatever hopes he had to fight alongside the redeemed Souma dashed during the fight against Gaera, Igusu nonetheless imparts him his final message to the young title-less Knight to inherit the will of protector he shared with Godou.

History

Background

Not much is know about Igusu's past beyond that he is an old friend of Godou and he took two younger titleless knights Ron and Obi under his wing forming the Swordsmen of Agora of which he leads.

Abilities

• Makai Knight Training: Igusu is trained in physical and magical arts known to Makai Knights of Makai Order. Igusu as the leader of the Swordsmen of Agora is it's most skilled member having trained Ron and Obi who are skilled enough to push Souma during sparring.

Equipment

• Hagane: As a title-less Makai Knight, Igusu is equipped with Hagane armor, his being silver with red eyes.
