Summary[]

Liberating Souma from Mutsugi's evil influence and helping him conquering his inner darkness along the way were nothing compared to the next challenge Ryūga and co. about to face. The magical sphere containing Gate of Destruction violently collapsed, allowing it to regain its true form which much hideous than how it described in Makai Order's official records (twisted-looking, ghostly human face-themed double doors whose one half skeletal in appearance). White light poured out of the barely opened Gate... along with a materializing magenta light sphere Mutsugi recognized as the forbidden fruit she obsessed over. Ryūga promptly consulted with Zaruba about it, at which the Madō Ring explained the forbidden fruit being something from ancient times and endowed those who consumed it omniscience and omnipotent — everything Mutsugi needed to achieve her goals. Tremendous amount of dark energies coalesced about the fallen Makai Priestess as she consumed it while Ryūga and co. only able to look on in disbelief, culminating to her explosive transformation into an ultimate being. The blast also sent Koyori nearby flying, prompting Ryūga and Souma to catch her.

With her newfound powers, Mutsugi casted a spell which illuminated the night sky above Creacity and beyond followed by a pulse of dark energy. The blast didn't affect Obi and Ron who were patrolling the city but, the same cannot be said to some of townsfolk who froze in their tracks. As if it was confusing for Swordsmen of Agora duo, they noticed frozen citizens' eyes turned milky white.

Continuing her ritual, Mutsugi declared to Ryūga and co. its purpose; purging the world of people with Inga in their hearts. Koyori's pleas fell into deaf ears and Ryūga and Souma's rejection provoked Mutsugi to resume the violence. A heated and emotional duel ensued with neither the Golden Knight nor his title-less comrade able to land a blow at their empowered foe. Koyori insisted to Mutsugi that everyone's lives, including those her fallen mentor deemed unworthy due to Inga in them, were as equal and therefore deserved to choose what they wanted to be. Such wisdom disgusted Mutsugi to the point of responded by trying to burn her alive only to be stopped by Souma. Soundly incapacitating Souma and Koyori, Mutsugi mocked Ryūga — her last remaining opposition — for absolutely not capable enough to do what must be done. The fallen Makai Priestess utilized Madō Bagua Tags in her disposal to torment Ryūga in an illusion and rejected his and Makai Order's conclusion where one could never truly rid the world of Inga, citing mankind's inability to change to better thus worsening Horror incursions to Human Realm in her eyes. As much as he able to see Mutsugi's points, Ryūga rightfully pointed out how wrong she was considering Inga also what allowed people to learn from their mistakes and be better, a truth which affirmed the Golden Knight's faith in humanity. If anything, he believed that humanity had enough strength to overcome their Inga someday.

It was a last straw for Mutsugi who furiously electrocuted Ryūga for such idealism. So angry that she forgot about another threat in form of Souma who saved his late father's student at the last moments. The young title-less Makai Knight declared his determination to continue fighting until his last breath to seething Mutsugi, all while summoning his Hagane Armor to repel his opponent's incoming blast. Pushing Souma back, Mutsugi judged Makai Knights unworthy to exist in the new world she about to create before conjuring a destructive fiery sphere generated by three magic circles to vaporize both Makai Knights.

Fortunately, Koyori jumped in to intercept the incoming spell with her own at the last moments. A beam struggle ensued as Souma wasted no time to assist Koyori when she was on the verge of losing. It took great effort but, Souma and Koyori's combined might allowed them to rebound Mutsugi's spell back to its sender, much to fallen Makai Priestess' despair. Enraged more than ever, Mutsugi prepared another spell which much more catastropic than the last.

Seeing her former mentor and mother figure now truly beyond saving, Koyori sadly readied her own magic to put Mutsugi out of her insanity. Having no heart to do it herself however, she trusted the endeavor to Ryūga instead, prompting the Golden Knight to don his Makai Armor with her Madō Brush on his hands. Transforming Koyori's Brush into a javelin embodying its owner's desire to save Mutsugi from herself as Ryūga put it, he hurled it at the fallen Makai Priestess. Such powerful attack not only cancelled her spell, but also seemingly returned her to normal while piercing through her heart. As a result, the ritual she casted over Creacity and beyond got undone, saving those who affected, much to Obi and Ron's relief.

Falling to her knees, the seemingly depowered Mutsugi had a mental breakdown from her apparent defeat. Ryuga firmly told her that as protectors, they were never meant to go to extremes like she did. After all, one must never lose hope in face of hardships which happened to be part of Makai Order's fight against the darkness.

Unfortunately for everyone, the Seducer stepped in to take matters with her own hands; it's revealed that she encouraged Mutsugi's fall into darkness from behind the scenes. Having foreseen her loss of faith in humanity inevitably led to her turned to the so-called Forbidden Fruit documented in one of old records Godou had while searching for Gate of Destruction, the Seducer had indeed showed her the whereabouts of the Fruit on the other side of the Gate. Devastated to see her search had allowed some evil being exploited her mad quest for her gain, there was nothing Mutsugi could do as the Seducer decided to forcibly assimilated her from inside out through lingering Forbidden Fruit in her systems right in front of horror-struck Ryūga, Souma, and Koyori.

In a burst of magenta mist, the Seducer, now in physical form bearing the likeness of Mutsugi albeit clad in plant-themed, dress-like exoskeletal armor. The Seducer telepathically introduced herself as the embodiment of Forbidden Fruit and boasted how Mutsugi's actions under her machinations ensured the reopening of Gate of Destruction. The Gate underwent a sickening transformation as it fully opened at last, becoming a Lovecraftian winged hydra holding a dimensional rift in its center maw. Ryūga and Souma summoned their armors, ready for the decisive battle against the Seducer and her forces...
