Obi (オビ, Obi) is a young Makai Knight in Heir to Steel Armor. He has little combat experience and a meek side.

Personality

Obi and Ron are title-less Knights who trained under Igusu's wing as part of Swordsmen of Agora. Unlike the laid-back yet composed and realist Ron, Obi is idealistic and meek, evidently still has much to learn to be a proper Makai Knight. In fact, he believes titled Makai Knights are better than their title-less comrades in many ways until Ryūga Dōgai, the latest Garo, corrects him that such differences matter little since they ultimately share a common cause — a sentiment Ron shares. Obi has always admires Garo and strives to become an exemplary protector like the latter despite being a title-less Makai Knight. He visibly struggles to contain his excitement upon finally given the chance to fight alonside his idol during Gate of Destruction crisis, even insisting the latter's presence will make a difference when the gravity of their situation becomes apparent. To his delight, the current Garo returns his admiration by providing him aforementioned wisdom.

History

Background

At some point in his past, Obi became an apprentice to fellow title-less Makai Knight Igusu. As the admirer of Garo the Golden Knight, he once excitedly asked his mentor whether it's possible for him to become the next Garo, a question he deemed silly in retrospect. Around this time, he befriended his senior Ron whom Igusu trusted enough to occasionally tutor him as Obi's idealism and passion exceed his skill.

Abilities

• Makai Knight Training: Obi is trained in physical and magical arts known to Makai Knights of Makai Order. Although some of his techniques need some work as Ron noted, he nevertheless can fight with an ally side-by-side very well.

Equipment

• Hagane: As a title-less Makai Knight, Obi is equipped with Hagane armor, his being silver with yellow eyes.
