Rabid (凶獣, Kyou Juu) is the thirteenth episode of GARO: The Makai Flower.
Synopsis[]
Crow is traveling to his district to have his blade purified of evil ki by the Moonlight Ceremony with Mayuri and Raiga joining him. Once they arrive though, they find that the Makai Beast that the Phantom Makai Knights]] use in the ceremony, Barg, has escaped and is running wild in the forest. The Makai Knights must try to cut down Barg before he reaches civilization, but Mayuri finds that the creature is similar to her in that they are both living tools and feels sympathy towards it.
Summary[]
Shizuru arrives at the site for the moonlight ceremony and comments on how Gento and the other Phantom Knights are early. They prepare for the ceremony as Barg lays in the cavern underneath. As he takes a break from his part of the preparation, Nayuta peers down the well, awakening Barg who attacks the Phantom Knights.
Crow is making his way to the ceremony when he meets Raiga and Mayuri. He subsequently invites them to the ceremony. The trio stop by a river where Crow says the he is excited to see his old captain.
The trio arrive at the ceremony to discover that Barg has escaped. Raiga tells Mayuri to take Shizuru home as he, Crow and Gento hunt Barg. Crow, Raiga and Gento attempt to battle Barg before it escapes and heads towards Mayuri and Shizuru. When Crow et al catch up with Shizuru, they discover his body and the Mayuri is missing.
As Raiga, Crow and Gento rush to find Mayuri, she bonds with an injured Barg. As she searched for help, Mayuri is confronted by the three knights. Gento threatens to cut her down as she defends Bargs right to just die. As Gento tries to attack, Barg runs away with Mayuri. Crow rescues a falling Mayuri.
As Barg struggles near her, Mayuri offer to absorb Barg, only to be stopped by Raiga. With the help of Gento and Crow, Raiga manages to defeat Barg.
As the remaining four are standing by the graves of the fallen, Mayuri is adamant that she is just a Madōgu. Crow informs her that she is not, that is why he saved her.
