Tobías was a boy that became a bladed arachnid-like Horror.
Personality[]
After Natoria's death, Tobías began despising outsiders and turning them down. This worsened when he found two outsiders planning to kidnap the children, causing him to kill them before they could attempt anything. His guilt was the reason why he couldn't accept Tina's feelings, even though they both liked each other.
History[]
Early Days[]
Tobías was the village's guard and he was friendly with Tina and the other kids at Natoria's orphanage, often teaching them how to read. When Natoria was killed in a Horror attack, everyone believed that Natoria was killed while helping thieves masquerading as travelers. As a result, Tobías became distrustful and hostile toward them.
The Carved Seal of Flames[]
He tries to turn away a traveler begging for water by force, but Ema Guzmán stops him and helps the traveler. The two then talk and he tells her to leave the village after she was done with her business. Tina also appears and offers Tobías apples, but he respectfully declines and leaves. Tobías and Tina eventually find Ema taking away Natoria's special spinning wheel, and he accuses her of being a thief. Not wanting to involve them with the world of Makai, Ema plays along and leaves.
At night, Tobías promises to teach the kids tomorrow if the weather was good and leaves, but a Horror finds him and successfully entices him with the power to protect the children, turning him into a Horror. Tobías finds Ema and attempts to kill her, but she uses the special thread from Natoria's spinning wheel to bind him and puts him down for good.
